Over two days Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th October Cabaid met with 350 plus Southend licensed taxi drivers in Southend to inform them about the excellent services that Cabaid provide on a daily basis across the UK.
The earyly birds on the first day found themselves in the midst of a raging thunderstorm, complete with lightening. Some drivers while waiting their turn took shelter under the canopy of the tea and burger caravan kindly provided over the two days by the 'Southend Taxi Driver's Fund for Underpriviliged Children.
manned by volunteers they were doing a brisk trade in mugs of tea and bacon rolls. The sun came out eventually on the first day, and warmed everyone up.
Fortunately it was warmer and drier on day two where a number of drivers then took the opportunity to enjoy the late autumn sun for a few minutes and find out more about what we do.
